FacilitatorsMilorad Cerovac - Physics Teacher (The King David School)
Project Manager/Coordinator and adviser extraordinaire of VSSEC-KDS. Milorad started his working life in research (materials science), followed by an extensive stint in the IT industry. He found his calling in teaching eight years ago, driven by a passion to provide students with opportunities beyond those offered in normal Science classes. CanSat simulates a real space exploration program allowing students and mentors to design and build a functioning satellite together. Milorad’s infections enthusiasm provides a launching pad for his amazing team. |
MentorsBoaz Ash - Monash University, Mechatronics Engineering
Boaz graduated from The King David School in 2010 and has returned this year to mentor current students. With his experiences gained as captain of the Australian national LEGO Robotics team in the 2009 LEGO World Festival in Atlanta and as a VITTA ICT Achiever, Boaz is honoured to be a part of this prestigious competition and this exciting team. |
Devon Boyd - Swinburne University, Robotics and Mechatronics/Computer Sciences and Software Engineering
Devon graduated from The King David School in 2009 with outstanding results in both mathematics and physics. Devon has been an avid enthusiast of Engineering from a young age and his experiences participating in an American Robotics program coupled with his broad technical skills make him a valuable addition to the team. Devon loves helping students and is looking forward to a continued partnership with the school. |
Michael Eisfelder - Monash University, Aerospace Engineering
Michael has been a member of the Australian Youth Aerospace Association for the past 3 years and was the inaugural winner of the Australian Youth Aerospace Forum Competition. He has previously held scholarships at both The King David School and The University of Melbourne. He also worked as The King David School's Resident Scientist in 2010 helping to coordinate the High Powered Rocketry Program and teach senior school students. |
