VSSEC-KDS
VSSEC-KDS is Australia’s representative team in the CNES and Planète Sciences CanSat France 2011 Competition.
CanSat is a global challenge created to encourage student interest, involvement and excitement about space, science and technology. It gives students the opportunity to create a working model satellite with real world applications.
This will be the first time an Australian team will compete in the highly regarded international CanSat competition. We look forward to representing Australia as we compete against French, Iranian, Turkish and Russian teams.
The King David School encourages students to learn beyond the classroom by offering hands-on access to a number of exciting science initiatives. The VSSEC-KDS team is a part of the Robert Feigin Memorial Scholarship Trust's programs. The trust also facilitated the school's involvement with small sounding rockets which provided the basis for an association with VSSEC.
VSSEC is the Victorian Space Science Education Centre and has established a partnership with The King David School, nominating it as the Australian team at CanSat France 2011.
