Team Goals
CanSat Missions
We aim to complete the following proposed missions:
Mission 1: Telemetry
Using OzeSat technology, the satellite will log and transmit temperature and pressure data during the descent phase, relaying the data back to base.
Mission 2: Deployment of a RF antenna
After landing, the CanSat will deploy a RF antenna. This is designed to simulate communication with Earth after landing on another planet. It will be controlled with Arduino technology
Mission 3: Photo/Video
During descent, the CanSat will capture visual data, and transmit it back to us. This will provide visuals of the atmosphere surrounding the landing site.
Mission 4: Airbag Landing
When the CanSat is 4m above the ground it will deploy its air bags to ensure the delicate componentry is not damaged from impact.
